IT IS TIME OLE LENKU WAS LAID TO REST.

MR Ole Lenku

Even as the residents of Mumui Village in Nyandarua accept the demise of the three petrol station attendants who perished in the attacks at a Naivasha petrol station, the goverment under the ever cool docket of Interior Ministry continue to keep mum over the rising insecurity.
The three, Ann Wanjiku, Beatrice Njeri and Martin waititu were among the five people killed in the recent attack at a Naivasha petrol Station where the robbers took 1.5 million shillings after attacking them.

I imagined it was just a joke when the government recently named the Cabinet secretary for Transport to be the best perfoming secretary even after the wave of the various road carnages that claimed the lives of more than 3000 kenyans, but from what we are experiencing it seems Mr Ole Lenku is giving his fellow a run for his money. He is intentionally failing in his duties and who knows, he may be named the best performing Cabinet Secretary soon because he has attained the requisite qualification for the award: failed in his duties.
Under Article 29 of the Constitution of Kenya, the right to security of a person is guaranteed and the government is tasked to put up all the measures to ensure the security of the citizens of kenya. Consequently, The almost award winning Cabinet Secretary was appointed to ensure the achievement of this article. And what has he given us in return?
  1.  The WestGate attacks (although the KDF, his boys, managed to control the situation after drinking bottles of water)
  2.  Constant attacks in Wajir
  3. The unending Rift in Tana River
  4. The Bungoma attacks etc

It is the time the president swallowed a humbly pie and brought in a substitute because it is very evident that the almost award-winning Ole Lenku may not play a complete 90 minutes of 6the game without the team losing.
